Where to Camp in Gauteng

by | 08 Sep 2020

Something that we love about caravanning is the ability to pick up and travel and the drop of a hat, which is what many of our Gecko Owners love as well. This means finding caravan parks and camping spots close to home that are easy to travel to over a weekend for a little escape. These spots also provide the perfect stay overs for long trips when travelling across provinces. Below are some of our Gecko Xtreme Owners favourite campsites in and around Gauteng.

Kyleu Bush Camp – Dinokeng Game Reservice

Kyleu is an open unfenced bush camp, perfect for those who want to get right into nature and experience all that the bush has to offer. Each stand is spacious and allows for 4 to 8 guests per night. Each campsite is around 40m from each other and has its own private ablutions. There is hot water but no electricity, so solar panels are a must. This is a tranquil bush experience and perfect for those who want to experience the bush at its best and have animals roaming around your campsite.

Our Gecko owners Rating:

  • Cleanliness: 5/5
  • Location: 5/5
  • Amenities: 4/5

“This campsite is amazing especially if you want to be right in the bush”
